New Hardcover Book Collects Star Wars Newspaper Comic Strips

If you're a fan of the Star Wars newspaper comics of the 1970s and 1980s, you'll want to check out a new book from IDW Publishing!

The Star Wars Classic Newspaper Comics Volume 3 completes IDW's coverage of the fan-favorite strips, and includes every complete strip published from July 26, 1982 until the final comic on March 11, 1984. Each Sunday page title header and "bonus" panels with their restored original color. are included. 

The comics were written by former Marvel Editor-In-Chief Archie Goodwin and iconic artist Al Williamson, who also collaborated on a number of Star Wars comic books. They also did the comic adaptations for The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

Featured in the book are a number of major story lines, including "A New Beginning," "Revenge of the Jedi," "Doom Mission," and "The Final Trap," among others.
