'Star Wars' Actor Andrew Jack His Died From Coronavirus

Andrew Jack, who appeared in three Star Wars films and was a popular Hollywood dialect coach, has died at 76. He reportedly died after contracting the coronavirus, COVID-19.

Jack also served as a dialect coach to the Star Wars cast, including helping John Boyega lose his British accent.

He played General Ematt in The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi. He also provided the voice for Moloch in Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Andrew's rep said Jack died Tuesday morning at a London-area hospital due to complications from COVID-19.

Sadly, Andrew's wife Gabrielle Rogers is being quarantined in Australia and was not able to be with him when he died. Because of restrictions tied to the pandemic, she will not be able to attend his funeral either.

Jack had recently been working as the dialect coach on Robert Pattinson's new Batman film. Filming had shut down weeks ago because of the outbreak. He was also a coach for the films Avengers: Endgame, Robin Hood, Sherlock Holmes, Alien v. Predator, Lord of the Rings, Die Another Day, Eastern Promises, Captain America, and Men in Black: International.

Our condolences to his family.
